Welcome to my blog. I will cover current events, politics and the Bible from my perspective as a conservative, Southern black woman. My pen name, Citizen KJV, refers to my US citizenship and the King James version of the Bible.
I love this country and everything it represents (or used to). I never thought I’d see the day when the American way of life (God, Guns, Liberty and the Constitution) is relentlessly attacked and dismantled from within – all with the support of the media and elected officials.
How did we get to this point? I’m in America but I do not recognize my country anymore. What is happening to our freedom? How does a country that fought in wars to defeat Communism turn around and elect hard core leftists to public office who espouse principles that our soldiers died to protect us from? How and why does a country built on Judeo-Christian values allow the tenets of God-less, tyrannical socialism to take root in our communities? Why are there attempts to criminalize the actions of Bible believing Christians? Why aren’t elected officials adhering to the Constitution? And why are so many people being quiet about it – y’all know this is wrong and leads to tyranny!
While exploring these questions I realized that President Reagan was right – we are always, always one generation away from losing our freedom. Each generation has to fight for it. We stopped fighting. Took our freedom for granted. We stopped defending our values, stopped calling out evil, stopped valuing our families. As a result, tyranny is running wild in the land of the free and the home of the brave.
This is my attempt to answer the call to maintain liberty and freedom by putting my two cents in every now and then. Speaking out for the things that made this country great so that future generations know what it means (and what it takes) to be free. My grandparents’ generation certainly did and I want to do my part to continue that legacy.
